I’m Elka and as a busy mother, entrepreneur and designer, I love planning. It helps me stay productive and accountable, lowers my stress levels, and stops me from overthinking.
In the digital world, it can be tempting to do all my planning on the latest app. But there’s something special about holding a planner in my hands, about feeling its weight as I fill up the pages with dreams, hopes, and goals. Pretty planners are a form of artistic expression for me, one that honours my imagination and the life I’m creating.
That’s why I created Komorebi Luxe Planners, to reflect both the artistry of planning and its importance.
Bringing the Glorious Adventure of Language to Planning
Beautiful words offer moments of imperfect understanding and a sense of uniqueness that makes simple things special. Few cultures know this as well as the Japanese, who have crafted exquisite poetic words like Komorebi. Lacking an English equivalent, Komorebi describes the scattered shapes that the sunlight casts as it streams through the leaves.
You don’t have to be a poet from Japan’s ancient past to understand and appreciate the power of words. Love notes, life plans, thoughts, and tasks that take you towards your goals can all be artistic.
